Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused VMS Account Manager to serve as the primary strategic partner for healthcare clients utilizing a Vendor Management System (VMS) for contingent workforce management. This role is responsible for building strong client relationships, optimizing workforce solutions, driving client satisfaction, and ensuring effective utilization of VMS technology platforms.
The ideal candidate combines consultative account management skills with operational expertise and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This individual will partner closely with clients, staffing suppliers, implementation teams, client services, and internal stakeholders to support workforce initiatives, improve program performance, and identify opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned healthcare client accounts.
- Build and maintain trusted client relationships through proactive communication, strategic consultation, and ongoing support.
- Provide guidance on contingent workforce strategies, staffing trends, and workforce optimization opportunities.
- Monitor program performance and present key metrics, trends, and recommendations to clients.
- Partner with suppliers, client services teams, and internal stakeholders to improve fill rates and workforce outcomes.
- Support job order management, contract extensions, workforce transitions, and operational escalations.
- Conduct regular business reviews and strategic planning discussions with client stakeholders.
- Assist with onboarding, implementation, and adoption of VMS technology solutions.
- Analyze workforce data and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Collaborate with product and technology teams to communicate client feedback and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and support overall business growth objectives.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree with 3 - 5 years of experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 7+ years of experience.
- 3+ years of account management, client services, healthcare staffing, workforce solutions, MSP, VMS, or related experience.
- Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred
- Experience working with healthcare staffing programs, contingent workforce management, MSP, or VMS platforms.
- Familiarity with workforce analytics, supplier management, and healthcare operations.
- Experience conducting client business reviews and presenting performance metrics.
- Knowledge of platforms such as Medefis, ShiftWise, B4Health , or similar technologies.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in an office/home office environment.

Pay Rate
$47,500 - $59,000 Salary Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
