Job description

Responsibilities: The Coder I is responsible for assigning accurate ICD-10, CPT, and DSM IV codes for ED and Observation accounts to ensure proper reimbursement. This includes reviewing physician documentation, ensuring medical necessity, and adhering to productivity and quality standards.

Requirements: Requires a High School diploma or GED and completion of an AHIMA or AACP-certified coding program. Six months of hospital coding experience is preferred.
