Job description

Responsibilities: The Oncology Data Specialist is responsible for the complete and accurate abstracting of cancer data in accordance with established requirements. This includes identifying applicable cases for inclusion in the registry and assisting with various department activities.

Requirements: An Associate's Degree in Arts or Science is required, along with certification as an Oncology Data Specialist within the first year of employment. A minimum of one year of cancer registry abstracting experience in a CoC approved Cancer Registry is also necessary.
